Admissions:
Enrollment in Our Lady of Mercy School requires that the parents and students accept the school’s mission, values, policies and rules. Parents and students thereby agree to be governed by the stipulations contained in the Our Lady of Mercy School Handbook and by all school policies, rules and directives existent or subsequent to the time of enrollment. The family agrees to uphold the school, its community and the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. All students take part in Religion classes.
New students undergo a year-long probationary period. With quarterly reviews, a child who exhibits serious adjustment problems may be advised to transfer to a more suitable educational setting.
All necessary paper work mandated either by the Department of Education or the Department of Health must be on file with the School Office.
Candidates are required to take a placement test. "Early Prevention of School Failure" screening is administered to all Kindergarten candidates in May. Students applying for grades 5-7 must meet with the Principal and/or school team prior to acceptance.
A recommendation from a previous school or teacher must be submitted; a form will be provided.

The Admissions Process:
Parents/Guardians of students interested in attending Our Lady of Mercy School must complete an Application form in a timely manner. There is a $100.00 Application fee-per family-that is nonrefundable. Once present students have re-registered consideration is given to newly applied students if space is available in the desired grade. A screening process must be completed before a student is fully accepted. All students entering grades one through seven are given placement tests in order to determine if placement in OLM is appropriate. A recommendation from a student’s previous school is also required and students are advised to visit OLM during a school day in the spring. If parents wish to keep a student’s name on a waiting list until a place is available they may do so.
