Drama:
For those of you who are new to our school this year, our drama season is almost here. Since 2002, Our Lady of Mercy has offered a 5 week after school rehearsal drama program ending with a superb presentation.
Mrs. O’Grady from Rhode Island Youth Theatre (formerly Fantasy Works) will be working with our production again this year. Our prior plays are: Alice in Wonderland Jr. (2010), Beauty and the Beast Jr. (2009), Seussical Jr. (2008), Annie Jr. (2007), Aladdin Jr. (2006), Fiddle on the Roof Jr. (2005), Music Man (2004), Salute to Broadway (2003), Charlotte’s Web (2002).
Drama is a self-supporting activity and runs by volunteer parents. Parents do not get paid. Funds are raised from year to year for the next production. For the third year in a row we did not increase the fees with a total cost to you still lower than prior years. Additionally; financial assistance will be considered. To cut back on so much copying, communication will be almost entirely through emails, updates in the Wednesday notes. **and the OLM Drama Webpage. Registrations will be collected Thursday April 14, 2011 for grades 5 throught 8, Thursday April 28, 2011 for grades 3 and 4 and Friday, April 29,2011 for grades 1 and 2. Please read the policy and information pages for exact dates/times/grades. Please feel free to reach us at our email:
As part of our 10 year celebration of Drama at OLM, Mrs Ruggerio will be directing OLM students in a medley of songs representing our 10 years of performances.
If your child will not be joining the play this year, please save the date and come see the show! Don't miss it! We appreciate your support and cooperation.
